A useful buying checklist
- Does your class preset match your actual teaching day and breaks?
- Are shared teachers and rooms free of clashes?
- Are all required lessons placed, with acceptable daily workloads?
- Do the Word, Excel and PDF samples suit how your school shares timetables?
Choose KSh 999 for 140 days or KSh 2,499 for one year. Both combined memberships include Timetable, CoverDesk and seven editable planning packs. Check the amount and expiry shown at checkout.
From payment to your first export
- Register or sign in to your school account. Use the school workspace for checkout, rather than the standalone demo.

40 classes. 70 teachers. 1,200 lessons placed.
Our synthetic large-school check on 8 October 2026 placed all 1,200 weekly lessons with no teacher clashes. The busiest teacher day contained five lessons against a six-lesson limit. This verifies placement for this test setup; review your own school rules and workload balance before use.
Download the large-school sample pack: Word, Excel and PDF →
The pack contains 110 class and teacher timetables and an Excel workbook with 127 sheets, including room, subject, summary and workload views. Its README explains how the files were checked. The benchmark balance score was 55/100: teacher gaps and demanding-subject sequences still need review.
The sample uses the live generated schedule and the application’s Office export code. Its PDF was rendered from Word. This sample check does not verify a paid account’s signed-in download flow.

13. Preview restoration before applying
The current timetable is retained before restoring. Download a full backup and archive older versions to free a slot.
14. Replace a teacher or room during the term
Change one allocation while retaining its lesson periods. A failed check blocks the whole change.

6. Explore school situations
Illustrative examples: A junior school can start with a small set of classes and shared teachers. A secondary school can add double lessons, laboratories and fixed periods. A larger school can prepare its Excel allocation data and review teacher workload across streams. Each school should validate its own curriculum requirements and timetable constraints.
Improved timetable balance — version 3.1
Our 8 October 2026 synthetic live test placed all 1,200 lessons across 40 classes and 70 teachers, with all teacher, room, class and clock-time checks passing. The selected timetable recorded 195 teacher gaps, a learner-fatigue measure of 85 and zero subject-balance warnings.
In two controlled comparisons, the new scheduling preferences reduced teacher gaps and demanding-subject sequences while placing every lesson without teacher clashes. Daily workload variation did not improve consistently. The 74/100 quality score uses a revised calculation that accounts for school size; it is not directly comparable to the previous score. Schools should still review gaps and heavy sequences.
The downloadable sample pack above remains the original placement benchmark, created before this balance update.
Useful for the school day and changes during the term
- School-branded exports: Add your school logo, name, term and year to Word page headers, every Excel worksheet and print / PDF outputs. Logos keep their proportions, and exports also work without a logo.
- Kenyan bell schedule presets: Playgroup, PP1–PP2, Grades 1–3, Grades 4–6 and Junior & Secondary School. Each class can have its own editable lesson times, breaks and lunch. Grade 10 correctly selects the secondary preset.
- Safer Excel setup: Preview teachers, classes, subjects and allocations before applying. Invalid references, duplicate entries, unsuitable counts and formula cells are flagged with row details. Import keeps existing setup, with undo before further edits.
- Understand unplaced lessons: Read the constraints that blocked placement and review suggested adjustments.
- Change lessons with checks: Move or swap lessons, retain double lessons, lock individual lessons or a class, and undo the last move. Clashes and locked lessons block unsafe changes.
- Choose your scheduling preference: Balanced, compact teacher days, even workload or learner subject balance. Preferences do not remove hard constraints.
- Protect term versions: Save up to five named versions, preview restoration and keep the current timetable before restoring. Download a full backup and archive an older version to free a slot.
- Replace a teacher or room: Update one allocation in its current periods. The whole change is blocked if checks fail, and a previous version is saved before a successful change.
Verified in synthetic testing: all five presets loaded on the published app; 90 requested lessons across 10 classes were placed with no teacher clashes in the scheduler test. Saving, teacher replacement, version restoration, reload persistence and backup archiving were tested in the browser.
Presets are editable examples, not curriculum compliance certification. Enter your school’s required subject allocations and review the final output. Paid school-account downloads still need an end-to-end check with an active school account.
